Muna dan Aku

Nie laa pemandangan Muna atau sajian mata selama ini dan hari-hari mendatang...by looking at this picture, we can tell that she is a big fan of The Simpsons...dan dia sgt2 rajin study..Gud luck Muna...jgn tension2 sgt...i'm sure u'd be okay in this coming exams..Sesungguhnya Allah akan mengurniakan rezeki kepada orang yang berusaha dan kemudiannya bertawakkal....

Identity crisis

I met my friend Sharina in the mosque this morning...she joined the qiamullail...Nie laa sedikit sebanyak perbualan kiteorg sblm di cut oleh pentazkirah Sr Syafiq..huhu

"Asal aku tgk ko nie...kekadang brutal kekadang ayu..." Sharina berkata

"Well, I have nothing to say...brutal dalam ayu kot...eh2 tukar2...ayu dalam brutal kot...ntah laa" Kata saya yang kebetulannya memakai jeans dan sweater jer...sempoi+x ayu langsung in comparison to other participants...biase laa...xleh nak challenge akak2 tue semer...depa mmg dah naturally ayu kot...betul tak?

"Aper laa ko ni Nath...jadilah ayu sikit" Katanya lagi

"Erm, ayu...aku x ayu lagi ker????" Jawabku. Suara Sr Syafiq kemudiannya memenuhi ruang empat segi itu....bagus laa mamat tue...mantap siot...suara cam Ustaz n his delivery pun mantap...

Ok...sambung kembali kita ke agenda yang sebenar....talking about identity crisis...

Adekah aku perlu senantiasa berpakaian ayu+sopan???

Second one, I slept for nearly 10 hours (getting worse day by day)...I hate this...n the fact that i missed two prayers in a row was so regretful...Even in this case Allah will hate me...Nauzubillah...I'll try to get rid of this over-sleeping sickness start from today......c'mon u have big exam just around the corner....n remember, there is no turning back!

Controversial writing...specially to my mom...

Sunyi...selubungi malam...
Mengusik minda yang terlontar jauh...
Masih hangat terasa ...
Tangan yang membelai yang mengusik manja...
Daku damba kasihmu...
Biar jadi pedoman...
Buat penyuluh jalan kugapai impian...
Angin...kau nyanyikan lagu...
Untuk permataku...tenang selalu...
Bayu...sampaikan berita...
Daku kini ceria...aman dan bahgia...
Selimutkan rinduku bersama malammu

Hadirlah...dalam mimpiku...
Agar kau selalu...ada disisiku...
Rindu belaian kasihmu...Rindu senyumanmu...
Penawar lukaku...
Dengarkan laguku...hadiah untukmu...
Jasa dan baktimu ku kenang selamanya...
Dikaulah cahaya...
Bila malam menjelma...
Kasihmu membawa ke syurga...
Dan redha yang Esa...

Regards,
Your lovely daughter..hihi

La tahzan or jgn bersedih

Jangan Bersedih...Cinta Rasulullah Menjamin Kebahagiaan

Jangan Bersedih...Redha Dengan Anugerah Allah Membuat Anda Terkaya di Dunia

Jangan Bersedih...Allah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penerima Taubat serta Rahmatnya Maha Luas

Jangan Bersedih...Semata-mata Kerana Anda Berbeza dengan Orang lain

Jangan Bersedih...Bila Disakiti, Dicela, Direndahkan atau Dizalimi

Jangan Bersedih Sesungguhnya Setelah Kesusahan Akan Ada Kemudahan

Jangan Bersedih...Kerana Kesedihan Anda akan Membuat Musuh Anda Gembira

Jangan Bersedih...Atas Perilaku Manusia Terhadapmu Tetapi Perhatikanlah Perilaku Mereka Terhadap Allah

Jangan Bersedih...Allah Tidak Akan Mensia-siakan Pengorbananmu

Jangan Bersedih, Dunia ini Terlalu Hina Untuk Ditangisi........

Sunshine and showers

Today, at 7o'clock I went for a brisk walk. Alone. Because my mate was up for something else, she actually has an usrah at Powerscout...shud be fun going to the park in this spring time...i'm looking forward to have a trip over to that colourful with flowers all around place...inshaAllah...i'll be there when exams is over...

On the way to the canal, I couldn't run myself from free newspaper distributor...and weather column has caught my eyes on. It is stated that there will largely wet in the next few days ahead, though there should be some bright spells appearing by Monday and then again on Wednesday...

So, don't be so over-confident by leaving ur coat or jacket in home considering dry and bright days recently...that is it..news weather report by Nathrah at DublinQ314..muahahaha

2 birthdays in a row

On Tuesday, the great three (Fern, Natasha n Diane) went out to St Stephen Green Park to celebrate Diane's birthday in a moderate way...despite of cold breeze..and the intense chill raking through their body, they still had fun under one hut-like shelter. Eat and laugh..laugh again and eat..eat eat..laugh laugh...until they sicked of doing that and moved their butts off the place and walked around the park. While the birthday girl which was in utter amusement with stunning flowers taking photographs, the other two were busy interrupting her to get into the camwhore. After 3 hours approximately in the park, they found their way to the Hodges Figgis and then to the other bookstore in a way to accomplish Fern's big aim...Godfather's hardcover book...unfortunately her aim was in vain...nevertheless she got herself the one in the bookshelves...pretty sad.......end of story.

On Wednesday, eight lovely people(names not to list here) spent 4 hours in Kerry's kitchen struggling to make nasi dagang versi Makcik sekian..sekian. There, they celebrated Kerry's birthday one day earlier (supposedly on 20th) with a cake and donuts. Suprisingly, she was not surprised enough seeing the cake on the table after she gone for a while...(they should think of other ideas i guess)....eat nasi dagang...capture the moments...end of story.

Wait for the next birthday story by me.myself this next Sunday...whoaaaaa.....another birthday in April...and I bet there were like a shower of estrogen and progesteron in Malaysia back in April 1985..

My ummah lyric

My ummah, my ummah
He will say
Rasulullah on that day
Even though we’ve strayed from him and his way

My brothers, my sisters, in Islam
Let’s struggle, work, and pray
If we are to
Bring back the glory of his way

CHORUS:
Ya Allah ya rabbal ‘alamin
Ya rahmanu ya rahim
Ya rabbi
O Allah Lord of the Worlds
O Merciful and Beneficent
O my Lord

Let the Ummah rise again
Let us see daylight again
Once again

Let’s become whole again
Proud again
’Cause I swear with firm belief in our hearts
We can bring back the glory of our past

My ummah, my ummah
He will say
Rasulullah on that day
Even though we strayed from him and his way

Look at where we were
And look at where we are
And tell me
Is this how he’d want it to be?
Oh no! Let us bring back our glory

I need to start my DIET plan

Seriously, i'm not joking...my body weight raise up to the number that I would barely reach before this...I dunno what had happened to me...maybe I put on many high cholesterol foods recently...can u imagine, I finished daging burger 12 in one week...teruknye...start from now and on, I have to watch on the calorie taken per day and perhaps walk to and from the school...lame excuses are not acceptable...I think I need Diana to help me on this...no more Kebab Club and I hv to turn to low fat milk.....the plan is effective immediately after this post published and will continue until my weight slumps to its normal and my round face change to oval face (this is so IMMpossible)...Huhu

SAY NO TO higH calOrie FOODS...Oh noooooooooooooo

I chatted to someone from Canada

It was last night. Alone. Bored to death. Doing nothing other than lazy around in my own room. While I was downloading photos to my fotopages (Internet connection was so slow as usual and I could not finish uploading them until this moment of time), I turned my skype on with no reasons. It is because I only turn it on whenever my friends want to call me. It's free anyway. Huhu.

Suddenly, I had a brilliant idea to browse for new virtual friends. The first buddy I sent my instant message to is a student. He's from Glasgow. Not interested enuf in making friends and I left him.

Then came another...which I sacrifice my sleeping hours chatting to him. He's a businessman...oh wow...currently in East coast of Canada and always travel to England once in a while...he's actually selling environmental equipments or save the planet stuffs from North America to England...cool huh...but what can I do, he's too old for me...he already has two kids(they are lovely...look at the picture!)...sedey :( Just kidding, I hv no interest in org putih, am I???? Hikhik

What can I say bout this guy is that he being so positive in his life...after his wife left him few years ago for a janitor...huhu...love is blind eh? I love the way he handle himself...remember, life must go on no matter what is happening to you...right?

After we chatted for 3 hours or so, he then called me. We talked many things going on in this life from satellite tv channels to father-children relationship (If only I can copy and paste it to this blog...huhu...dun want laa...nanti blog ni jadik cam diary betul laa plak...better keep it to urself je laa Nath oi....tetibe teringat kat sayang oi....) and the list goes on and on...

To make it short, I finally went to sleep at nearly 2 a.m...it was nice to know him afterall especially when u r in dire need to have someone to talk to....adios...assalamualaikum...

You're not alone

This song is dedicated to all viewers...be it my family members, my friends or anyone who suddenly stumble upon this blog...
It's not the full version of the song..i only take the chorus part

You're not alone,
I am here with you
Thou you far away
I am here to stay

You're not alone
I am here with you
Thou you are apart
You're always in my heart.......

I really mean what I wrote up here...from the bottom of my heart...

Simply click on bunch of pictures

The option is at the bottom right on this page...You know, it is easier for me to upload on fotopages compared to this blog...so, here it goes...

Xleh upload gmbr lagi...

After 5 day vacation to Cork n Galway, I'm finally at home...sedey:(

The trip was totally awesome...i'm not making it up seriously...maybe u don't YET believe me knowing that the places are in Ireland dull city...but i guess you will simply fall in love when u look at the pictures taken throughout the journey. Unfortunately, I have no pictures at this moment to be uploaded because all of them are kept safely in Diana's philips hard disk...going to see her today to transfer(Bluetooth or bluetut bak kate Muna) to my apple. Jeles..jeles

I'm now at Idah's room at National University of Galway (NUIG)...huhu...the apartment as a whole is absolutely fabulous (thanks to Idah,Bell n her twin Ya, Rina n Steph)...comfy double bed+free duvet+free of charge ethernet services+free telephone n coverage+totally-like-house kitchen+large living rum+free sky-ed tv..bla bla..make Diana n me feel more sick! (After our stay in University College Cork's residence hall, specifically Aimi n Saadah's rooms). Bloody cool to stay in this kind of territories n i juz hv no ideas when Idah told me that she planned to move out from this fully equipped apartment next year.

Erm, proud to say that I already visited all breathtaking places in Cork. They have their own attractions...from Cobh (pronounced as Cove) to Wildlife Zoo in Fota and from Fitzgerald park to the Women's jail...credit to Emot for making our trip as smoothie as she cud...

Today, we are going to ride a bus tour independently (what do you expect Nath?) without Idah...she has to prepare for her final exams which is in 3 weeks time..all the best to you Idah and May Allah bless all your good deeds n inshaAllah u'll doing well in exams...Back to the point, we head-off for Dunguaire Castle, Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, The Burren Paradise, Poulnabrone Dolmen and Aillwee Cave.

Sadly, my plan with Lenot to wait for her and the rests cancelled since Emot has to leave her house on Sunday as she has a friend who has to catch bus on Tuesday noon at least in a way to reach Dublin Airport before her flight due...sorry babe...anyway, have a nice bus trip...tiring actually n enjoy Galway without me :(

Waiting for Diana. I'm taking after her to get into Idah's luxurious toilet...

Erm, today is Maulidur rasul n as a muslim we have to say selawat byk2..okay..n needless to say...always keep his teachings to our heart n practice it...inshaAllah

Off to Cork + Galway

Hola...easter holiday is coming!!! Sound enthusiastic huh...i'm not excited because i'm celebrating easter like Sylvia do as her "NO SWEETS UNTIL EASTER" ends soon...but maybe because of 2 weeks off from repeating daily routines (walk to school+classes+lunch+wander around+walk home)...

Today, at 1p.m, Diana and me, we r taking a bus to Cork...4 hours journey doesn't bother me much in comparison to Kl-Trg 10 hours in the bus...huh...in spite of that, i still hv to bear with the double decker bus, which I found so UNSTABLE especially when the driver drives recklessly...like what happened during Edin-Aberdeen trip...

We will spend 2 days in Cork n heading for Galway afterwards. I hv no idea what to do in Cork...erm, leave it to Emot 100%. X baik betul laa...The only thg in my mind is Cliffs of Moher, this all because all Galwayians hv blew this main attraction out of proportions to all Dubliners...whatever...

Doakan kami selamat pegi dan kembali...inshaAllah...

(I'm still stranded in my rum, start packing laa Nathrah oi, wanna go upstairs to make phone call (Me momma n my fren), c ya)

Occupied living rum + I can't call my fren..T-T

Pretty sad huh when u can't get on the line to somebody u longed for. It's actually because parents of one of my housemates are coming over n they use the living rum for this while...n the fact that the phone is in that rum n i want to talk somethg 'sensitive' make me postpone my witty wish.

Betulkah ini sikap Melayu?

"Melayu itu maknanya bijaksana; Jika menipu pun bersopan; Kurang ajarnya tetap santun;

Dajalnya cukup selamba; Budi bahasa jangan dikira;

Beraninya cukup benar; Tunduk bila bersalah; Lembutnya cukup jantan;

Berkelahi cara Melayu; Menikam dengan pantun; Menyanggah dengan senyum;

Marahnya dalam tertawa; Merendah bukan menyembah; Meninggi bukan melonjak." usman awang, (1988)

~~ aku melayu, dan kan tetap menjadi melayu~~ kau?

...I received this message in ym and I wonder betul ke orang2 yang kasik mesej nie betul2 melayu sejati spt yang diwar-warkan. Erm, frm my POV, melayu skang dh berubah...kalo dulu Melayu mmg bersopan santun, tp skang dh susah nak carik golongan muda-mudi yang berbudi bahasa, berkias, lembut tutur kata dalam zaman ICT skrg nie. X payah pegi jauh, tgk gaya berckp kite kat ym, kekadang kite x sdr yang bhs yg digunakan blh menyinggung perasaan org lain. It cud be because we already immune to crappy talks n it's already in our soul. Dan kalo masih ada lagi golongan sedemikian, syukurlah kita kerana masih ada orang yang berjuang mempertahankan sifat2 melayu tulin. Fikir fikirkanlah. (Pedoman utk diri dan rakan semua)

(Ape yang ko buat nie Nathrah, dh la ponteng kelas, blogging je keje..pi study maaa)

Depression...

I was sick yesterday and even today i'm not feeling well. I don't think i'm going to class today...huh...walking under bright, shining sky sometimes not good for our health especially when u're not in the pink of health...but i still hv two hours to change my mind!

Talking bout sickness, I had a friend who r in the middle of depression. I thought it's normal for someone to depress of what he or she face in the real life, however this isn't the same thg. She's been diagnosed as having physiatric disorder...OMG, I can't believe it until I gave her a call and listened to her early this morning. I cudn't help but crying a little. All at once, I realized that I only have sensitivity n sympathy feelings but honestly speaking there is no comforting sounds present throughout the conversation...how am I going to be a doctor if I lack of one of the main skills?

I feel so sorry to her because I said somethg rude to her when she called me yesterday not knowing of what she's suffering from. She never told me in details n all that I heard from others is that she kinda hate the surrounding she's having now. Erm, the next thing I know, she wanna quit medicine because she has no one to turn to whenever she want to share her problems and it happened that she turned to the wrong person and that person, I wud say hv no concern towards human beings...huh..not to sound opposing in here.

Yesterday was a most terrible day as she has been admitted to hospital after overdosing on antidepressants. Her mom is flying over to her place today and take her home. I hope she'll be better at her own territory. Erm, I wish I was there to comfort her but all I can do now is set a prayer so that she'll get rid of the disorder as soon as possible and back to her school and one more thg forgive that person as Rasulullah always is a forgiver. InshaAllah.

An article you must read

I read this article in my mafia class yahoo groups and I found it is interesting. Far far interesting, I must say. Even though, it is quite lengthy but plz spend some of your time on this article. I promise you, it's worth reading!

An American perspective

Q: Daddy, why did we have to attack Iraq?
A: Because they had weapons of mass destruction honey.

Q: But the inspectors didn't find any weapons of mass destruction.
A: That's because the Iraqis were hiding them.

Q: And that's why we invaded Iraq?
A: Yep. Invasions always work better than inspections.

Q: But after we invaded them, we STILL didn't find any weapons of mass destruction, did we?
A: That's because the weapons are so well hidden. Don't worry, we'll find something, probably right before the next election.

Q: Why did Iraq want all those weapons of mass destruction?
A: To use them in a war, silly.

Q: I'm confused. If they had all those weapons that they planned to use in a war, then why didn't they use any of those weapons when we went to war with them?
A: Well, obviously they didn't want anyone to know they had those weapons, so they chose to die by the thousands rather than defend themselves.

Q: That doesn't make sense Daddy. Why would they choose to die if they had all those big weapons to fight us back with?
A: It's a different culture. It's not supposed to make sense.

Q: I don't know about you, but I don't think they had any of those
weapons our government said they did.
A: Well, you know, it doesn't matter whether or not they had those weapons. We had another good reason to invade them anyway.

Q: And what was that?
A: Even if Iraq didn't have weapons of mass destruction, Saddam Hussein was a cruel dictator, which is another good reason to invade another country.

Q: Why? What does a cruel dictator do that makes it OK to invade his country?
A: Well, for one thing, he tortured his own people.

Q: Kind of like what they do in China?
A: Don't go comparing China to Iraq. China is a good economic
competitor, where millions of people work for slave wages in sweatshops to make U.S. corporations richer.

Q: So if a country lets its people be exploited for American corporate gain, it's a good country, even if that country tortures people?
A: Right.

Q: Why were people in Iraq being tortured?
A: For political crimes, mostly, like criticizing the government.
People who criticized the government in Iraq were sent to prison and tortured.

Q: Isn't that exactly what happens in China?
A: I told you, China is different.

Q: What's the difference between China and Iraq?
A: Well, for one thing, Iraq was ruled by the Ba'ath party, while China is Communist.

Q: Didn't you once tell me Communists were bad?
A: No, just Cuban Communists are bad.

Q: How are the Cuban Communists bad?
A: Well, for one thing, people who criticize the government in Cuba are sent to prison and tortured.

Q: Like in Iraq?
A: Exactly.

Q: And like in China, too?
A: I told you, China's a good economic competitor. Cuba, on the other hand, is not.

Q: How come Cuba isn't a good economic competitor?
A: Well, you see, back in the early 1960s, our government passed some laws that made it illegal for Americans to trade or do any business with Cuba until they stopped being Communists and started being capitalists like us.

Q: But if we got rid of those laws, opened up trade with Cuba, and started doing business with them, wouldn't that help the Cubans become capitalists?
A: Don't be a smart-ass.

Q: I didn't think I was being one.
A: Well, anyway, they also don't have freedom of religion in Cuba.

Q: Kind of like China and the Falun Gong movement?
A: I told you, stop saying bad things about China. Anyway, Saddam Hussein came to power through a military coup, so he's
not really a legitimate leader anyway.

Q: Why did we invade Afghanistan?
A: Because of what they did to us on September 11th.

Q: What did Afghanistan do to us on September 11th?
A: Well, on September 11th, nineteen men? Fifteen of them Saudi
Arabians? Hijacked four airplanes and flew three of them into
buildings, killing over 3,000 Americans.

Q: So how did Afghanistan figure into all that?
A: Afghanistan was where those bad m en trained, under the oppressive rule of the Taliban.

Q: Aren't the Taliban those bad radical Islamics who chopped off
people's heads and hands?
A: Yes, that's exactly who they were. Not only did they chop off
people's heads and hands, but they oppressed women, too.

Q: Didn't the Bush administration give the Taliban 43 million dollars back in May of 2001?
A: Yes, but that money was a reward because they did such a good job fighting drugs.

Q: Fighting drugs?
A: Yes, the Taliban were very helpful in stopping people from growing opium poppies.

Q: How did they do such a good job?
A: Simple. If people were caught growing opium poppies, the Taliban would have their hands and heads cut off.

Q: So, when the Taliban cut off people's heads and hands for growing flower s, that was OK, but not if they cut people's heads and hands off for other reasons?
A: Yes. It's OK with us if radical Islamic fundamentalists cut off
people's hands for growing flowers, but it's cruel if they cut off
people's hands for stealing bread.

Q: Don't they also cut off people's hands and heads in Saudi Arabia?
A: That's different... Afghanistan was ruled by a tyrannical patriarchy that oppressed women and forced them to wear burqas whenever they were in public, with death by stoning as the penalty for women who did not comply.

Q: Don't Saudi women have to wear burqas in public, too?
A: No, Saudi women merely wear a traditional Islamic body covering.

Q: What's the difference?
A: The traditional Islamic covering worn by Saudi women is a modest yet fashionable garment that covers all of a woman's body except for her eyes and fingers. The burqa, on the other hand, is an evil tool of patriarchal oppression that covers all of a woman's body except for her eyes and fingers.

Q: It sounds like the same thing with a different name.
A: Now, don't go comparing Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. The Saudis are our friends.

Q: But I thought you said 15 of the 19 hijackers on September 11th were from Saudi Arabia.
A: Yes, but they trained in Afghanistan.

Q: Who trained them?
A: A very bad man named Osama bin Laden.

Q: Was he from Afghanistan?
A: Uh, no, he was from Saudi Arabia too. But he was a bad man, a very bad man.

Q: I seem to recall he was our friend once.
A: Only when we helped him and the mujahadeen repel the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan back in the 1980s.

Q: Who are the Soviets? Was that the Evil Communist Empire Ronald Reagan talked about?
A: There are no more Soviets. The Soviet Union broke up in 1990 or thereabouts, and now they have elections and capitalism like us. We call them Russians now.

Q: So the Soviets? I mean, the Russians? Are now our friends?
A: Well, not really. You see, they were our friends for many years
after they stopped being Soviets, but then they decided not to support our invasion of Iraq, so we're mad at them now. We're also mad at the French and the Germans because they didn't help us invade Iraq either.

Q: So the French and Germans are evil, too?
A: Not exactly evil, but just bad enough that we had to rename French fries and French toast to Freedom Fries and Freedom Toast.

Q: Do we always rename foods whenever another country doesn't do what
we want them to do?
A: No, we just do that to our friends. Our enemies, we invade.

Q: But wasn't Iraq one of our friends back in the 1980s?
A: Well, yeah. For a while.

Q: Was Saddam Hussein ruler of Iraq back then?
A: Yes, but at the time he was fighting against Iran, which made him our friend, temporarily.

Q: Why did that make him our friend?
A: Because at that time, Iran was our enemy.

Q: Isn't that when he gassed the Kurds?
A: Yeah, but since he was fighting against Iran at the time, we looked the other way, to show him we were his friend.

Q: So anyone who fights against one of our enemies automatically becomes our friend?
A: Most of the time, yes.

Q: And anyone who fights against one of our friends is automatically an enemy?
A: Sometimes that's true, too. However, if American corporations can profit by selling weapons to both sides at the same time, all the better.

Q: Why?
A: Because war is good for the economy, which means war is good for America. Also, since God is on America's side, anyone who opposes war is a godless un-American Communist. Do you understand now why we attacked Iraq?

Q: I think so. We attacked them because God wanted us to, right?
A: Yes.

Q: But how did we know God wanted us to attack Iraq?
A: Well, you see, God personally speaks to George W.Bush and tells him what to do.

Q: So basically, what you're saying is that we attacked Iraq because George W. Bush hears voices in his head?
A. Yes! You finally understand how the world works. Now close your eyes, make yourself comfortable, and go to sleep. Good
night.

Q: Good night, Daddy

Huuhh...finally. But it's thought pondering tho. A reminder to myself and also you guys, start to ponder your mind with something serious under the sun like this child did but never ever believe what the father trying to brainwash his child. We, as muslims have to filter whatever informations we got or in other words, don't just simply digest all news published on cnn.com or any other western minded websites. Last but not least, a question to ask "How's a cow mating?" I called home yesterday and my sister asked me that because she couldn't answered her teacher's. It had driven me to an answer which suddenly everybody in the house burst into laughters...malunye...rupenye byk benda lagi kat dunia nie yang aku x penah fikir dan x penah nak explore pun. Teruknye. Huhu.

IT-literate blogger are wanted!

Sound demanding but I'm looking for someone who can actually help me in upgrading my featureless blog...anyone?..anyone?..plzz...

Now is 540 a.m. I woke up early as usual with full determination. Huhu...budget2. Yesterday was awesome as I found that I had time for myself. I brought myself for a brisk walk along the canal (where the main picture of mine taken) and then I realized that I was putting myself in such a beautiful day. I loved this so much that I never want to leave the moments. Looking at the swans under the sun + soft breeze slapping my cheeks was really captivating...

Despite all of this, I was being such a jerk as I managed to finish JUST 2 lecture notes and I missed a very ENLIGHTENING IMAM's (Islamic Medical Association of Malaysia) symposium. Huhu. I hope there's still tmrw for me... which is today...so that I can be a more or less productive yet smart medical student....inshaAllah.

...APRIL FOOL...

Most of us celebrate April fool day every year and fool each other.
But how many of us know the bitter facts hidden behind it.
The story goes like this...

It was around a thousand years ago that Spain was ruled by Muslims.
And the Muslim power in Spain was so strong that it couldn't be
destroyed. The Christians of the west wished to wipe out Islam from
all parts of the world and they did succeed to quite an extent. But
when they tried to eliminate Islam in Spain and conquer it, they
failed. They tried several times but never succeeded.

The unbelievers then sent their spies in Spain to study the Muslims
there and find out what was the power they possessed and they found
that their power was TAQWA. The Muslims of Spain were not just Muslims
but they were practicing Islam. They not only read the Quran but also
acted upon it. When the Christians found the power of the Muslims they
started thinking of strategies to break this power. So they started
sending alcohol and cigarettes to Spain free of cost. This technique
of the west worked out and it started weakening the faith of the
Muslims in particular the young generation of Spain.

The result was that the Catholics of the west wiped out Islam and
conquered the entire Spain bringing an end to the EIGHT HUNDRED
LONG YEARS' RULE OF THE MUSLIMS in Spain. The last fort of the Muslims
to fall was Grenada (Gharnatah), which was on the 1st of April.
From that year onwards, every year they celebrate April fools day on
the 1st of April, celebrating the day, they made a fool of the Muslims.
They did not make a fool of the Muslim army at Gharnatah only, but of
the whole Muslim Ummah.

We, the Muslims, were fooled by the unbelievers. They have a reason
to celebrate April fool day, to keep up the spirit.

Dear friends, when we join in this celebration, we do so
out of ignorance. If we had known about it, we would never have
celebrated our own downfall. So now, that we are aware of it, and now
let us promise that we shall never celebrate this day. We should learn
our lesson from the people of Spain , and shall try to become
practicing Muslims, never to let anybody weaken our faith....okay?
