life must go on!

“Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth!” - Quran 24:35

The Quran is a guidance, and the Sunnah (way) of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) is a shining beacon. They are both agents of hope in the hearts of humanity. We too must be agents of hope in the lives of those around us.

We must never be agents of despair. Shaytan (Satan) is the ultimate agent of despair. That is his specialty. He strives to destroy our faith in Allah, our faith in ourselves, our faith in others.

Terrorists are agents of despair. They seek not to build, but to destroy by inducing fear, suffering and chaos.

We too can sometimes unwittingly become agents of despair.

If you ever find yourself telling someone that their dreams of achieving something great are unrealistic; if you find yourself cutting someone down verbally, pointing out their faults ruthlessly, mocking their failures, or teasing them in a hurtful way, stop! You are functioning as an agent of despair in that person’s life.

If you find yourself demeaning yourself in this way, focusing on your own failings, stop! You are acting as an agent of despair in your own soul.

When you make a mistake (and don’t we all make mistakes every day?), ask Allah for forgiveness, recover, and stand up straight. Resolve to do better next time. Never hate yourself, or if you do then don’t do it for more than a few seconds before you shake it off. Never wallow in self-pity or self-recrimination. The past is gone and you can never go back and change it, but you can learn from it, and become a stronger and wiser person.

Life is difficult. Life is painful at times. That is part of its nature. But it is also beautiful, profound and full of meaning. You too are beautiful and profound. Allah did not create humanity in vain, and that includes you. Your life has meaning and purpose. Seek that purpose. Hold on to your connection with Allah and strengthen it, follow it. Be an agent of hope in your own heart, and change your life for the better. Then act as an agent of hope to those around you, and you will affect their lives in positive and profound ways, even when you are not aware of it.

If you must criticize, do it with kindness. If you disagree, do it with sincerity. If you see good in someone, tell them. If you love someone in the cause of Allah, tell them. If you see pain, strive to be a balm, to provide relief. If you see someone hurting emotionally, give a kind word. Be a living example of truth. Be a walking agent of da’wah, showing the beauty of Islam through your actions. Stand up for what’s right.

Be an agent of hope in this world, and you will follow in the footsteps of the Prophets.

Home is where the heart is

10..Mior's bday!

14..We went to Jerantut to visit Abg Long's family for couple of days and it was indeed a short splendid holiday. My two sisters made their ways from to Jerantut and they went back straight to Kl afterwards, hurm how I wish I can spend more time with them!

17..The dinner in Primula Beach Resort with my beloved friends, felt so grateful to meet them up! Yes, gathering is the time you do the catch up and gossip. Most of them have started working except for me, Ad and Farah. Uwarggh, what to do? We call it life!

19..Farah's bday!

20..My long awaited day has come real. Intan, my primary school buddy came to my house and we spend the whole evening chit-chatting after years of not seeing each other. Hope she stays strong and happy! Bloody that man!

21..Hanisah's bday! I don't want to leave for Penang!

can' t wait to go home for CNY break

8.. :P and ! can make a huge difference. There are times that i really want to end a sentence with an exclamation mark but somehow i restrain myself from doing so, instead i choose a cute, random emoticon to hide my true emotion. Tadaa..that makes me a happy-go-lucky girl and a person who do not know how to throw tantrum if stg offended me!!!

for bigger trials and tribulations..

2..I better not write circumstantially to express my feeling this time, just get it straight to the goal. I don't think i can handle that post given to me anymore so plz give me some space. There maybe people talking behind my back (just to make a point here, i don't have 3rd party auditory hallucinations!) but i don't give a damn, plz allow me to be my own self! We watched 4 short videos in class today, i recalled vividly a man with bipolar disorder, he played with his own emotions and caught me into it! He made me laughed at one point and he made me feel sorry for him at the other point..Hurm, should control myself when i go clerking!

3..Alhamdulillah, all praises is to Allah..after i viewed my results i went blog hopping..i was always looking forward to read this one blog which the blogger i know very little..the blogger has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma about a year ago and recently been told by his doc that there was no more curative treatment left for him..with tearful eyes i managed to watch all uploaded videos until the end..he inspired me somehow to be strong and stay steadfast in face of trials and tribulations..may Allah grant him Jannah..amin..

10..first 10 days of 2010 gone in a blink of eye with legal med, forensics and ethics untouched. Time is fleeting away before u ever notice it, will keep myself on the notes starts tomorrow, yeah i will.

11..i think i have to see a doc, my attention span is becoming smaller and smaller, my memory is deteriorating like no one ever experience, my deciphering ability is just gone with the wind, i know too much drama to bear with.

12..watch lives of child geniuses! great show with vast amount of exposures on these cream of the cream kiddos, no they are prodigies to be exact, one thg i've learnt, their parents are not pushy but they push their parents to satisfy their needs.

13..stick together and we go places!

22..tired of being the most dumbest among all, ya Allah plz help me thru all of this with ease and permit me to succeed this time..

24..today, i believe that i got strong determination to strive for the best in my life. Thank you Allah. Laid-back, this word should have been removed by now from my dictionary! Ad's bday!

28..if u tired of getting bad results plz get urself exhausted studying next time before u sit for the exam!

31..Alhamdulillah..ready to kick off this endless journey..Bismillah..

time to sleep, xoxo

It's all about the climb

I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it"

Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking

But I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on

'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Somebody's gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith, baby
It's all about, it's all about the climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith, whoa

Mild form of eczema or allergic to sweats?

I have come to self-diagnose after I had itching and dryness episodes on the sides of my fingers and toes again. This is not surprising as I have similar symptoms every time I'm back to this everyday-you-can-feel-the-dazzling-sun homeland. Last summer, I went to see a GP and he diagnosed allergic to sweats. I could still remember that he asked me to get skin allergy test to recognize the specific allergen or allergens that may cause the symptoms. I tried to escape by telling him I would do that the next time I visit him. During the time, he prescribed (as expected) the steroid cream to be applied twice a day. Fortunately, the symptoms disappeared bit by bit after two weeks and completely disappeared when I'm back to Dublin! Amazing huh!

This time around, I went to see the GP again just to get the steroid cream and i applied it onto all affected areas again and again like the symptoms is nowhere to be found by tomorrow haha. It's almost two weeks now but seems like the cream didn't work this time. Why ah? Yesterday, all of sudden I think of eczema because one could have similar episodes with eczema. Wikipedia is just a click away! Zuupp! Eczema is a form of dermatitis. Huhu. My fingers didn't show any pattern of inflammation therefore maybe not eczema. Nevertheless I found this less common eczema known as dyshidrosis aka housewife's eczema which suits the condition that I now have. It says dyshidrosis only found on palms, soles and sides of fingers and toes. The obvious features are tiny opaque bumps called vesicles (yes, i have this!), thickening (true!) and cracks (yerp!) are accompanied by itching which gets worse at night (i hate this!). It is a common type of hand eczema, it worsens in warm weather (very true!). With insufficient knowledge and inability to come out with other sorts of skin diseases, I would self-diagnose a mild eczema due to the warm weather! Haha.

Alhamdulillah, i finally got a house in Penang. Hope everything goes well. Amin.

Get a driving license..i dunno that it could piss me off

I'm so damn pissed at my driving teacher!!! Hey, i got ears to listen and please don't shout at me, I got eyes to see and please don't tell me where to make a turn, I know Accelerator is at the most far right, Brake is in the middle and Clutch is at the far left oh please don't ask me this ABC question again and again. I admit I dunno how to drive but please don't treat me like I'm an idiot!

So many things happened when I was with him in the car. "Don't do anything, just drive straight" Okay, i'll not do anything and when I didn't change the gear because i waited for him to say it"How many times should i tell you to change the gear upon reaching a turn" Dusshhh!!!There was one time he taught me on the simulated hill for the first time. "Maintain the acceleration, release the clutch, free up the hand brake and go up until the side mirror is parallel to first zebra-crossed post then brake" "Okay, i got it, bismillahirahmanirrahim.." Everything went well in the beginning but then I stopped too early because of too nervous, Arrrggghhh..why now!! He stared at me and said "What did you do? Did you not listen to what I've said??" I was like OMG! How could you tell that to your student, am I the only one who failed doing this for the first time?? It turned into a deep silence because I barely said anything after that point.

On the same day, on the way to send me home and suddenly papppppppp!! he knocked into a car's side mirror when he was about to make a turn. That was not the first incident because he nearly bumped into an oncoming car when he was to make a prohibited U turn. Haha! Here we go, you teach me to control the patience lot on the road but you never portrayed yourself as good driver!!

If I were to grade his teachings, I'll definitely go for zero out of any positive numbers. Today, I skip the lesson and I'm going to call GANDA (the driving school) to change my driving teacher..doakan saya tenang je belajar lepas ni smpi dpt lesen sebab dh rasa cam die melampau sudah..pakcik jgn la jadik cam salesgirl kat mall, sombong x tentu hala!!

The top 10 reasons why Jesus isn’t God?

(I love this show very much and I bet you will love it too so please watch the full video with your open mind and your humble heart to get better understanding of who God is)

The top 10 reasons why Jesus isn’t God?

By: Joshua Evans
American Former Christian Youth Minister. He reverted to Islam 5 years ago from Christianity and he totally believe in the Islamic Creed that there is none worthy of worship but Allah (God) and Muhammad (saw) is his final messenger. Jesus was only a prophet (peace be upon him) of God.

Before we (referring to the host Eddie and Joshua Evans the guest in the show) start, we want to make clear that we love Jesus, he is very dear to us. Jesus in Islam, which means surrender and submission to the creator of heaven and earth but he never claim divinity. What we are trying to do here is to help give the true nature of who God is.
-Muslims love Jesus
-Muslims believe in Jesus
-Jesus was a messenger of God

10) God cannot be born
-God was not born
-Jesus was born

9) There is no explicit verses in any scripture or text especially the Bible that said so
-Jesus never said “I’m God”
-Jesus never said “Worship me”
-No explicit statement ever in the Bible that said so

8) No one has seen God at any time
-No one has ever seen God
-People saw Jesus
-No one can see God in this life

7) Trinity concept was not taught by Jesus. This whole concept of Trinity did not come about until the 3rd century of the church and this is not formulated as a doctrine and must be believed in until 325 AD
-Jesus never taught the Trinity
-Word Trinity no where in the Bible
-Trinity is something man made

6) God by His very nature is self-sufficent, He does not need anything to continue His existence
-God don’t sleep, eat, drink, etc
-Jesus slept, ate food, drank
-Jesus is a messenger not God

5) Jesus claim that God knowledge is greater than him
-God knows everything
-Jesus didn’t know everything
-Jesus is a messenger not God

4) Jesus explicitly stated that he is not God
-“This is eternal life: to know you, the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” (John 17:3)

3) Son of God is not an exclusive title
-God doesn’t die
-God doesn’t have children
-God doesn’t have human needs

2) God cannot change
-Only God is perfect
-God doesn’t change
-God message has always been the same

1) God is the essence of worship
What God wants of you:
-Worship God alone and not His creations
-Obey God and not your desires
-Submit and surrender to God alone in peace

Tabung Iftar Ramadhan 1429H

“Whosoever provides for the breaking of the fast of another earns the same merit (reward) as the one who was fasting without diminishing in any way the recompense of the fasting person.” Tirmidhi

a) Pemindahan secara elektronik

a. Bank account

b) Bank in

c) Check

d) Tunai

My first payslip + UCD Juniors Reception

Alhamdulillah. I'm so happy. My hard work as a care assistant with NurseOnCall Agency pays. Despite the hard work, I'll continue working with the agency until this February when I'll be going home for good. InsyaAllah.

Become a carer is listed third on jobs-that-i-have-done-so-far list. The first on the list is babysitting a 2 month-year-old boy of a couple of teachers back home and the second one is another babysitting experience with a couple of doctors' baby girl in Cork. Hey peeps, I've grown up and ready to take more challenging jobs:p

Me in the uniform, photo taken: staff room at the Our Lady's Hospice

Tazkirah ramadhan

2)Tanggal 17 Ramadhan tahun ke-2 Hijrah, hari Jum’at pagi, terjadi peperangan Badr al-Kubra.

Umat Islam tidaklah tinggal diam membiarkan orang-orang kafir merobek-robek kemuliaan umat.

Elections norm

I came across this and i found it to be funny enough to make me smile today:)

Some cliches to use during election recount;
Every vote is precious.

Every vote is sacred.

Every vote must be counted.

Each vote is like a human voice.

We must determine the will of the people.

The voice of the voters must be heard.
The recount must be full, fair, and accurate.

Our democracy is at stake.

If we ignore votes, we ignore democracy.

We must do what's in the best interest of the country.

We must have a full recount for the good of the country.

We must follow the rule of law.

We don't want a fast result, we want an accurate result.

We can't disenfranchise the voters.

You can't change the rules in the middle of the game.

The votes have already been counted three times.

This election should not be decided in the courts.

They're trying to steal the election.

And I discovered another thing which rather funnier that make me grin today:D

Prior to Permatang Pauh by-election

(uttered by Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah. Taken from Utusan Malaysia 250808:"Saingan bertukar rentak * Semakin ramai pengundi atas pagar memihak kepada BN")

Post election

''Realitinya pengundi atas pagar masih gagal dipengaruhi.

(said Prof. Datuk Dr. Zainal Kling, a political analyst. Grabbed from Utusan Malaysia 270808: "BN kurang pengaruh pengundi atas pagar')

Haha. What is so good about blowing out of proportion? and what is so wrong with honest reporting? Anyhow the truth will reveal itself.

Big time.

Ramadhan is more than a fasting month..

Nice article from http://ihyaramadhan.ppimi.org (redirect to http://www.ppimi.org/wordpress). I can't wait to read on the historic events that occurred during Ramadhan because I'm not the person who going to dig up for historical facts therefore many thanks to everyone that will upload these ready-to-read articles in Ihyaramadhan.

Ramadan: Historic month

Ramadan is more than just the month of fasting or personal piety. It recalls the past, taking one to the very foundations of Islam, and prods one to mull over the significance of historic occasions such as the battle of Badr Al-Kubra and the conquest of Makkah. It is the month, therefore, of celebration, thanksgiving and reflection for every Muslim.

If there is one month that can be designated the Islamic history month, it has to be Ramadan. Traditionally known as the Muslim month of fasting, Ramadan is rooted in Islamic history. It is the month for striving against oneself and conquering one’s will, but it is also the month marked by the most significant external struggles and triumphs in the history of Islam, namely the battle of Badr Al-Kubra and the conquest of Makkah (Mecca). It also marked the divide between Jahiliyyah (not to refer to an historical era but to a state of mind that caused violence and terror in jazirah Arab) period and Islamic civilisation. It is also the month in which Ummul Mukminin Khadijah binti Khuwailid passed away (Al-Fatihah to Ummul Mukminin r.a.).

Original Al-Quran

Al-Quran

Ramadan’s significance derives primarily from the fact that it is the month when the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad . The Quran records the event in Al-Baqarah verse 185: “The month of Ramadan is when the Quran was sent down as a guidance for mankind, with explanations for guidance and as a standard(between right and wrong) “. Muslims recall how Prophet Muhammad received the very first revelation of the Quran- “Read in the name of your Lord…” - while meditating alone high up in the mountains of Makkah.

Ramadan is therefore more than just the month of fasting or personal piety. The month recalls the past, taking one to the very foundations of Islam, and prods one to mull over the significance of historic events.

Insya Allah Ihya’ Ramadhan will go through historic events that occurred during Ramadhan of Prophet’s life so that we can take lessons from all those events. We cannot understand his achievement unless we appreciate what he up against. And it is befitting for everyone who loves Prophet Muhammad pbuh to know about him and his struggles for Islam. Now, let us enter the world that made him the last Messenger of Allah nearly fourteen hundred years ago, on a lonely mountain top just outside the holy city of Makkah.

To be continued

I've started reading this recommended-by-everyone book entitled The Islamic Movement Dynamic of Values, Power and Change by Sayyid Abul A'la Mawdudi. It's well translated but a bit factual which is kinda boring but so far so good and I don't want to end up reading other people's blog:D

My moochies

I don't really like animals but to me cats are adorable especially the kittens. We had few cats during our childhood days and when they all died we never had one since then until last year my mom brought in cats back into our house. They are actually Nek Tih's. Kudos to Nek Tih.

Hey guyz, I would like to introduce my 2 moochies named Oyen n Utey. The names are pretty boring i know cause i just named them after their colors. Oyen is a boy and he really acts like a boy, runs all over the house and likes to play with balls or anything that moves. On the other hand, Utey is a little bit quiet, eat Friskies with no complaints and so manageable. All because Utey is a girl. Yes, girls are easier to be managed compared to boys! If you don't have faith in me, please ask your parents. Haha.

I have nothing much to do during the holiday except for cooking dinners for everyone. I really have a passion for cooking...cooking is like my new interest. Uwekkk, please ignore the former sentence. Haha. Cooking has never come easy on me and that was why we always ended up dining out/buying food in most of the days.

Back to my moochies. I miss my moochies. I wish I have longer time to spend with my moochies even if I have to serve them food as early as 6am and even if my hands scratched everytime they want to wriggle free during the baths and even if i have to clean up the their 'stuffs' (technically, it isnt me, i am the one who will eee eee uuu uuu at the back of my mom while she is doing the cleaning).

I really miss my moochies. Having Oyen, Utey and their mom during my summer holiday has been a blessing.

The mom and the kids (first batch). The kittens are eventually died after several separate incidences.
The mom and the kids (second batch). One died due to tumour, Oyen and Utey are still alive, fit and well.

P/S: Today is my birthday and I don't feel like going out. Ya Allah, all I want is just happiness..happy years, happy family and happy friends..
